finally found some images of this. some o2 flagship shops fitted with electronic moving signage provided by element k and Projected Image Digital (a uk company). They use versa tube (controllable leds in an opaque tube). However I saw one of these shops and in broad daylight the effect is much more subtle - makes me wonder if having a pixel wall by the door is worth the effort.
